Paradise Park is highlighting colour in its ‘Rainbow Week’ to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The colourful parrot family will be to the fore of course, as the Park is home to the World Parrot Trust charity. The way birds and people use colour will feature in the Rainbow Quiz which will run between Sunday 2nd and Saturday 10th June.

As you explore the Park to see the birds and animals, look out for the quiz sheet clues. Once complete, you can check your answers and claim your sweet treat in the JungleBarn or gift shop.

Calling all those amazing people willing to help the children at the Ubuntu HIV Orphanage. As you know these children have been though abuse, neglect and much more for no reason other than being born into this extreame poverty. We desperately need 400 kind, caring people to buy tickets to the magical Charity Fairy Ball on Saturday the 19th of May in the Cave Auditorium at Carnclaze Caverns, all performers are donating their performances too and every penny raised will go directly to helping to make a daily difference in these childrens lives.

On the menu tonight is spicy lamb tagine, made with the finest locally sourced fresh lamb.

To celebrate his birthday, from the 5th to the 7th May, we will have a big card for everyone to sign, a prize draw each day to win a bald eagle soft toy and additional information on Archie during the flying display. And don’t forget your camera, as a keeper will have Archie on their arm so you can take close up photographs after the display which starts at 12 noon.

Species of owls here include Great Grey, Spectacled and White-faced Scops with Eagle and Barn Owls to be seen flying in our daily shows, plus more owl fun!!

New at Paradise Park for 2012 is a Mini Keeper Quiz where you can test your knowledge of the birds and animals, which are cared for by the keepers at Paradise Park.
