Get ready for take-off at our unique 10k running event ‘airside’ at Newquay Cornwall Airport. Experience running past the terminal building, round the runway and through an aircraft hangar whilst raising vital funds to keep our helicopter flying! You will also run past round the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust’s new helicopter hangar. If 10k seems a bit daunting there is a 4k ‘fun run’ option for children and adults alike.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a budding Usain Bolt or you prefer watching him on the television – this race offers something for everyone. Both routes are extremely flat which is great if you are trying to set a new personal best time or it is the first time you have entered a race. The routes are also suitable for wheelchairs.

Why not challenge your colleagues to the run and see who can get the best time? Or run the race dressed as a banana or three legged with a friend – anything and everything goes! With Cornwall Air Ambulance relying almost entirely on fundraising from individuals, groups and organisations we do ask our supporters to try and raise sponsorship for taking part and we can provide you with sponsorship forms or help you set up a Just Giving/Virgin Money Giving page online. There is a prize for the individual and the company who raises the most for the charity (our tip: wear said banana outfit/fancy dress!)

Runners will be spoilt rotten at the finishing line with:
· a FREE, well deserved pint from the Sharps bar (for those 18 and over)
· a goody bag
· a sports massage to ease those aching calf muscles!
· a commemorative medal
· the first 200 runners to sign up will also be the lucky owners of a limited Runway Runaround t-shirt

Why not make a day of it and bring your friends and family along to see you in action in the spectator viewing area where they can grab some food and enjoy cheering you on.

Registration for the 10k run costs just £12 ahead of the day (£15 on the day) and the fun run costs just £5 ahead of the day (£6 on the day)
